Can You Help? Summer Camp Opportunities

We are getting closer to the 2019 TPBC youth summer camps in the month of July. We are still in need of some help filling positions. 

3rd & 4th grade week July 8-13
5th & 6th grade week July 15-20
7th & 8th grade week July 22-27
High School July 29 – August 3 

Camper Counselors (must be 18 years of age or older unless they are 17 and a high school graduate or have a GED) – we need two males for each of the following weeks: 

3rd & 4th grade week July 8-13
5th & 6th grade week July 15-20 

Kitchen staff – food prep , meal service and dishwashers for:

3rd & 4th grade week July 8-13 

A-Team leaders / chaperones – one or two males and females over the age of 18, capable of leading devotions and light work projects: 

3rd & 4th grade week July 8-13
5th & 6th grade week July 15-20 

Craft assistant – at least one for the first three weeks. We are also looking for someone to run and manage crafts for all four weeks of camp for the upcoming year.

Archery – instructor and supervisor.

Music Leader – We are looking for those with the ability to lead music in chapel both vocally and instrumentally. The Camp does have a sound system that a guitar can be plugged into and a keyboard. 

Financial supporters Scholarships needed for campers. Donations to help offset the costs of operations.

Work Days June 22 & 29

In light of construction projects and the very wet spring there is a lot to do to get ready for camp. We will be mowing, weed eating, chipping brush, landscaping around the buildings, cleaning cabins, and a variety of other tasks to be ready for campers.

If you can come please let us know. We want to make sure we are ready for you.

When: Saturday June 22 and Saturday June 29
What to bring: Gloves, Hand Held Weed Eaters, Eye Protection, Ear Protection, any hand or cordless tools.
Lunch: Please bring a sack lunch

Camp Physicals

Twin Peaks Bible Camp is offering free physicals for campers a staff.

When: Thursday, June 20, 2019

Where: Calvary Bible Church 
629 27 1/2 Road Grand Junction, CO

Time: 7:00-8:30 p.m. 

Please bring your physical forms with the information filled out. You may also bring your camper registration form and fee.  The Health Certificate can be downloaded here.

Please note that these physicals are only for Twin Peaks Bible Camp campers and those volunteering as staff. Physicals are good for two years, please keep record of this information.

Free Physicals for Camp

Free physicals for camp will be held on June 28, 2018 from 7:00 – 8:30 PM at Calvary Bible Church in Grand Junction, CO. The address is:

Grand Junction, CO 81506

In accordance with state law, every camper must have a physical on file to attend camp. Physicals are good for two years so if you didn’t get one last year or you aren’t sure, this is a great way to make sure your physical is up to date. Oh, did we mention the price? Free is pretty hard to beat!

Help Wanted

Preparation is underway for the 2018 Twin Peaks Bible Camp youth summer camps in the month of July and your are invited to be involved. We are looking for people who love Jesus and are willing to use their gifts and talents for His glory. There are several positions that need to be filled with volunteers for the following dates.

3rd & 4th grade week July 9-14
5th & 6th grade week July 16-21
7th & 8th grade week July 23-28
High School July 30 – August 4

Camper Counselors – (must be 18 years of age or older unless 17 and a high school graduate or have a GED) we need at least four males and four females each week (We have three males and three females for high school week)
Head Cook – an individual or couple to lead the kitchen and meal prep (for 3rd/4th grade, 7th/8th grade and HS weeks)
Kitchen staff – food prep , meal service and dishwashers, at least three or four each week
A-Team – which is our teenage volunteer program – up to six males and females for the first three weeks (spaces fill up quick)
A-Team Leaders / Chaperones – one or two males and females for the first three weeks over the age of 18, capable of leading devotions and light work projects
Snack Shop and Store Attendants – one or two each week
Craft Assistant – at least one for the first three weeks. We are also looking for someone to run crafts next year, 2019.
Archery – instructor and supervisor
